Black Locust Tree

Regular price $310.00

Each tree is unique and has its own personality: the Black Locust Tree has strong historical significance, as its wood was the first used to build houses by British Colonists in the United States, and later distributed across the continent for this use. As they stand throughout Vancouver, one cannot help but wonder about the journey their predecessors went on to be here.

Premium Lustre Photographic Paper
Our premium lustre and cotton-blend paper prints use the latest generation of superior inks to ensure both colour fidelity and an archival level of stability for long-lasting artworks.
Aluminium Prints
Aluminum prints are created through dye sublimation, a heat and pressure infusion process directly to a glaze coated upon the aluminum. The dyes are held in microscopic suspension above the surface of the metal to allow light to pass through and reflect off the metal; in effect the image is lit from behind. Our largest single aluminum panel is 4 feet by 8 feet (1.22m x 2.44m). Larger images are possible with multiple panels as a diptych or triptych.

Dye sublimation produces an archival quality print that will last a life time. Whether it be indoors or outdoors, these prints can be placed differing environments--a large piece above our gallery entrance, exposed to the elements for a number of years, has suffered no visible deterioration. For more extreme environmental conditions, we are able to laminate glass to the surface of our metal prints for further protection, such as for backsplashes and showers.

Aluminum prints remain lightweight and do not require glass protection. These art pieces can be hung flat on the wall with the provided hanging hardware, or they can be framed. The surface is easily kept clean with the supplied micro fibre cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
Canvas Prints
Our exhibition quality canvas prints are created with premium archival inks providing an optimum vibrancy for both a large colour gamut and rich black and whites. Each print is laminated with a protective UV liquid coating which penetrates deep into the canvas for lasting protection, your art will endure for generations.

All of our canvas works are hand-stretched onto Canadian kiln dried bevelled hemlock, and the edges are finished with premium non-glare fabric tape.
